NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday said that the alliance would continue to provide aid and support to Ukraine, and reaffirmed that it won’t pull back its support.

This comes at a time when NATO is calling its partners to pledge more aid to Ukraine as it braces itself for the long winter, which would be much colder and darker due to the Russian attacks on infrastructure.

NATO foreign ministers meeting in Bucharest spoke on their increased focus on providing more military assistance to Ukraine, such as air defence systems and ammunition. Though, the ministers acknowledged the supply and capacity issues that they are currently facing.

They also discussed non-lethal aid. The non-lethal aid includes fuel, medical supplies, drone jammers and winter equipment that has been delivered to Ukraine by NATO.

Addressing a speech in Bucharest, the NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said, “NATO will continue to stand for Ukraine as long as it takes. We will not back down.”

The NATO chief added that the only way to secure the right terms for negotiations is for Ukraine to advance on the battlefield.
